 어지럽게 늘어놓은 우리 아이의 방을 보면 한숨이 나오시죠?

 이럴때 야단을 치시나요? 아니면 아무 말없이 치워 주시나요?

 우리 아이의 청소 습관을 길러주기 위해 함께 청소해보는 것은 어떨까요? 

  cleaning the room (방 청소)

 My room was messy. 내 방은 엉망이었다.
 = My room was messed up.

 ** be messed up: 어질러져 있다.

 My mom scolded me because my room was very messy.
 엄마가께서 내방이 지저분하다고 꾸지람을 하셨다.

 The dust has piled up here to there. 먼지가 여기저기 쌓여있었다.

 There were books and papers everywhere. 책과 종이가 온데 어질러져 있었다. 

 I decided to clean my room myself. 나는 내 방을 직접 청소하기로 결심했다.

 First of all, I opened the window and door to air out the room.
 우,선 나는 환기를 시키기 위해 창문과 문을 열었다.

 I vacuumed the room. 진공청소기로 청소를 했다.

 I arranged the scattered books on the shalves.  늘어져 있던 책들을 선반 위에 정리하였다.

 I put the books away. 나는 책을 정리했다.
 ** put ~ away: ~ 를 정리하다, 치우다.   

 I got rid of the unnecessary things. 필요없는 것들을 없앴다. 
 ** get rid of:  ~을 제거하다.

 I tidied up the room.  나는 방을 말끔히 청소 했다.
 ** tidy up:  말끔하게 치우다. 

 I removed the dust on the furniture. 가구의 먼지를 털어냈다.

 깨끗하게 청소를 하고 나니 배에서 어느새 꼬르륵~소리가!!

 열심히 방을 청소한 우리 아이와 함께 맛있는 저녁식사를 준비해 보아요!

 I helped my mom prepare dinner. 나는 엄마가 저녁 준비하시는 것을 도와드렸다.

 I wiped the table and placed the spoons and chopsticks on the table.  
 나는 테이블을 닦고 수저와 젓가락을 놓았다.

 ** wipe up = clean up:  닦다

 I placed the side dishes on the table. 반찬을 테이블 위에 놓았다. 

 I put the rice into the rice bowls. 밥을 밥그릇에 담았다.

식사를 끝마쳤으니 마무리까지 함께 해보는 건 어떨까요? 

아이의 작은 손으로 큰 그릇들을 닦는 것은 결코 쉬운 일이 아닐 거에요.  

 washing dishes (설거지 및 정리)

 I had a lot of dishes to wash. 설거지할 것이 많았다.

 I washed the dishes after the meal instead of mom. 식사 후에 엄마를 대신해서 설거지를 했다.

 I scrubbed some dirty dishes with a scrubbing pad. 수세미로 더러워진 접시들을 닦았다.

 I dropped a dish while washing the dishes. 설거지를 하는 도중 접시를 떨어뜨렸다. 

 My mom cleaned the floor carefully. 엄마께서 조심히 바닥을 치우셨다.

 I thought all family should do the housework together. 
  집안일은 가족 모두가 함께 해야한다고 생각이 들었다.
