12월! 기말고사도 끝나고 이제는 즐거운 성탄절이 기다리고 있네요.
예쁜 불빛으로 치장한 거리들~. 신나는 캐롤에 어깨가 저절로 들썩이는 12월.
오늘은 성탄절에 관련된 표현을 배워보아요.

크리스마스 카드 : Christmas card

올해 크리스마스는 무슨 요일일까요?
달력을 들추어 보니 월요일이에요.
이번 크리 마스에는 친구들에게 보낼 크리스마스 카드를 몇 장이나 준비하였나요?
Christmas를 준비하는 표현해 대해 알아보아요.

Christmas falls on Monday this year. 이번 크리스마스는 월요일이다.
I made Christmas cards for my friends. 친구들에게 보낼 크리스마스 카드를 만들었다.

	Tip 1 : 특정한 날을 의미할 때에는 반드시 on!을 붙여 주세요... 생일이나, 설날과 같이 특정한 어떤 날을 의미할 때, ~에는 이라는 의미로 on이 사용됩니다. ex ) On last Christmas we had a lot of snow. 작년 크리스마스에는 눈이 많이 왔다. On my birthday, my family planned to have a party. 내 생일에 가족 파티를 계획했다. We went to church on Sunday. 우리는 일요일에 교회에 갔다.

크리스마스에 친구들은 어떠한 일들을 계획하고 있나요?

어떤 친구들은 교회에 가기도 하고, 어떤 친구들은 파티를 하려 하기도 하겠지요?
그럼 이러한 계획과 일정에 관련된 표현도 알아봅시다.

I wish a white Christmas this year! 올해 크리스마스에는 눈이 왔으면 좋겠다.
There was a big event at church on Christmas Eve. 크리스마스 전야에 교회에 큰 행사가 있다.
I went to church with my parents on Christmas. 크리스마스에 부모님과 교회에 갔다.
We loved to sing Christmas carols. 크리스마스 캐롤 부르는 것이 좋았다.
We all joined in singing Christmas carols. 크리스마스 캐롤을 모두 합창 했다.
We will have a party to celebrate Christmas. 크리스마스를 기념하기 위해 파티를 할 것이다.
I am looking forward to the Christmas party. 크리스마스 파티하기를 고대하고 있다.


	Tip 2 : look forward to : ~ 을 고대하다. 어떠한 일을 하기 위해 기대하고 기다리는 것을 고대한다고 하지요? 예를 들어 멀리 떨어져 있는 친구를 만나는 것을 기다리고 기대하고 있다.. 그럴 때는 look forward to라는 표현을 써 보세요. 단! to 다음에는 항상 명사형이 와야 한다는 것 잊지 마세요! ex ) I'm looking forward to seeing you again. 다시 만날 것을 기대 하고 있어.

하지만 크리스마스 하면 역시 빠질 수 없는 것!
바로 그건 선물 일거예요.
이번에는 크리스마스 선물에 관련된 표현을 익혀 봅시다.

I was happy to get some presents. 선물들을 받아서 기분이 좋았다.
I wonder which presents I will recieve for Christmas. 크리스마스 선물로 무엇을 받게 될까 궁금하다.
I hung a Christmas stocking by my head. 머리 맡에 양말을 걸어 두었다.
I wish I can get nice presents from Santa Claus. 산타 할아버지가 좋은 선물을 주셨으면 좋겠다.
I want a new scarf for Christmas. 크리스마스 선물로 새 목도리를 받았으면 좋겠다.
I knew that Santa didn't exist. 산타가 없다는 것을 알고 있다.

친구들은 크리스마스에 트리를 장식하나요?
트리 장식에 대한 표현을 마지막으로 익혀 보아요.

We trimmed our Christmas tree. 크리스마스 트리를 단장했다.
My family put up the decoration on the tree. 우리 가족은 트리에 장식물들을 걸었다.
