날씨가 갑자기 더워졌네요.

9월이라고는 믿기지 않는 여름같은 날씨..

학교 운동장마다 먼지 풀풀 날리며 운동회 연습들로 땀을 흘리고 있을 우리 아이들!
요즘 운동회 문화가 많이 달라졌어요.

너도나도 손에 비디오 카메라나 디지탈 카메라를 든 열성 아빠들도 많이 볼 수 있구요.
어떤 학교는 아예 가족들이 편히 모일수 있도록 오후 늦게 시작하기도 하고, 주말이나 휴일에 하기도 하고 말이죠.
우리아이 학교는 토요일에 해서 그 다음주 월요일에 쉬더군요. 회사 걱정하지 않고 즐겁게 아이 운동회를 즐길 수 있어서 참 좋았더랬어요.

오늘은 우리 학교 체육 대회 날이었다.
날씨가 흐려서 비가 올까봐 걱정했는데 개어서 체육대회하기에 끝내주었다.
지난주 금요일이 운동회날이었는데 비로 연기가 되었었다.

우리 딸, 지나는 백팀이어서 하얀티셔츠에 체육바지를 입고 갔다.
1학년들만 노란색 체육복을 입고 있었는데, 너무 귀여웠다.
지나는 400m 계주선수로 나갔는데 마지막 주자였다.
전속력으로 달리더니 상대를 따라잡고는 결국 테이프를 끊었다.
얼마나 응원을 했던지.. 400m 경주가 제일 재미있었던것 같다.
그 경기 덕택에 백팀이 2:5로 이겼다.

이번 운동회에 시부모님이 오시지 않으셔서 참 유감이었다.

손녀모습에 많이 자랑스러워 하셨을텐데.

Today was sports day at school.
It was cloudy and looked like rain early in the morning. 

But It was a bright and perfect day for the events.
Last friday was the sports day but it was postponed because of the rain.

My daughter, Zina was in a white team so she wore a white T-shirt and sweatpants.
Only first graders were wearing yellow gym suits. They were so cute.
Zina was one of the relay runners. She was the last runner.
She ran at full speed and caught up with the rival and finally broke the finish tape.
I cheered her at the top of my throat. I think the 400-meter relay was the most exciting.
Thanks to that game, the white team won the game 5 to 2.

I am sorry that my parents-in-law didn't come to our school for this sports day.
They would be very proud of their granddaughter if they saw that event.
